Live StatsPHOENIX – The Grand Canyon women's golf team is set to compete in its fourth tournament this Fall. The Antelopes will compete in the Pat Lesser Invitational, hosted by member of the Western Athletic Conference, Seattle at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
Competing in the tournament for the Lopes is Deanna Salvatori, Amy Ruelas, Samantha Barker, Charatta Thongbai and Kylier Fong. GCU is one of four teams from the conference joining Utah Valley, Texas Rio Grande Valley and Seattle. Sixteen teams will compete in the Pat Lesser Invitational including six teams from the Big Sky Conference.
This is the first tournament GCU has competed in October as the Lopes last stepped on a golf course on Sept. 28 at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate hosted by Wyoming. The five Lopes will step on the Tacoma Country and Golf Club that is 6,086 yards long featuring four Par 3's and four Par 5's.
The tournament will start playing two rounds on Monday, Oct. 12 and then a final round on Oct. 13. Grand Canyon will be paired with British Columbia, Montana and Weber State in the first two rounds.
