Both Grand Canyon tennis teams released their spring dual-match schedule on Friday.
The men face a road-heavy schedule this spring while the women host nine home matches, including a WAC pod at the GCU Tennis Facility.
The men are fresh off their second NCAA tournament appearance in the past three seasons while the women made history last season by advancing to the Big Dance for the first time in the program's Division I history.
Twenty of the upcoming season's 21 matches are on the road for the GCU men, starting with three matches at Pac-12 opponents UCLA, Arizona State and Arizona from Jan. 12-16. The opening month will conclude with trips to Colorado, Utah and Idaho for matches against Air Force, Creighton, BYU and Idaho State.
The Lopes men's lone home match will be on Feb. 20 against UC San Diego at 11 a.m. at the GCU Tennis Facility. The team will wrap up February with a trip to Northern Arizona on Feb. 26.
March kicks off with the final three nonconference matches at Loyola Marymount, UC Riverside and a neutral-site contest versus Illinois State in Las Vegas.
The first WAC pod will take the men back to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where they captured the 2021 WAC Tournament, for conference matches against Lamar and New Mexico State on March 19-20. On the following weekend, the Lopes will face Seattle U and Chicago State in neutral-site matches at Lamar.
The GCU men's regular season will conclude with a first-time trip to Abilene, Texas, for matches against Abilene Christian and UT Rio Grande Valley on April 8-9.
The Lopes women will kick off the dual-match season with a crosstown match at Arizona State on Jan. 15 before heading to CSU Fullerton for the CSUF Spring Invite. February kicks off with three matches in California at UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Sacramento State and a neutral-site match against Nevada.
The women will be at the GCU Tennis Facility for six matches in March, starting with a cross-divisional match against Tarleton on March 4. GCU will also face Colorado State, BYU, Drake, Idaho State and Eastern Washington in the month.
WAC West Division play will kick off in April in Washington against Seattle U and Dixie State on April 1-2 before the Lopes host a WAC pod April 14-16. GCU will play against Chicago State and New Mexico State while also hosting three neutral-site matches that weekend.
The regular season will wrap up at home against Northern Arizona on April 23.
Both teams travel to Lamar for the WAC Tournament from April 29-May 1, when the Lopes aim to repeat as WAC Tournament champions.
