The Grand Canyon men's and women's tennis teams have released their spring schedules. Both teams will play road-heavy schedules with 20 matches combined away from GCU this year for head coach
Greg Prudhomme's programs.

Men open at BYU
The men, who last played a dual match in February of 2020, will start this season at BYU on Jan. 16 before facing back-to-back Pac-12 opponents in Utah and Arizona. After a pair of matches against Montana and Boise State in Idaho, the Lopes will face Arizona State in Tempe for the third straight season on Feb. 3.

Road matches at UC Irvine and New Mexico precede the first pair of home matches for the men against UC Riverside on Feb. 15-16. The Lopes won't have another home match for nearly a month, when they face Utah State on March 9.

Two matches in California against Cal Poly and Gonzaga and a home matchup against Idaho State on March 23 will wrap up nonconference play. The Lopes will then begin WAC play at home, hosting Chicago State and New Mexico State at the GCU Tennis Facility on March 26 and 28. The WAC regular-season championship will be on the line two weeks later in Edinburg, Texas, where GCU faces Seattle U and UT Rio Grande Valley on April 10-11.

Senior Day for the men's team will be on April 24 against NAU.
Women begin at ASU
The women will spend most of January and February on the road, starting the season Jan. 18 in Tempe against Arizona State for the teams' first meeting since 1993. The Lopes will then host Arizona at home on Jan. 23 and will later to travel to Tucson on Feb. 20 which will be sandwiched between a match at Cal Poly on Feb. 5 and matches in Iowa against Omaha and Drake on Feb. 27-28. March will start with a match at BYU on March 5 and the season's first home match will be March 16 against Colorado State.

WAC play will begin in Las Cruces, New Mexico, against New Mexico State and Chicago State on March 20-21, followed by a pair of home matches against Idaho State on March 23-24. GCU will then travel to Edinburg, Texas, to take on UT Rio Grande Valley and Seattle U on April 1-2, before heading to St. George, Utah to face WAC newcomers Dixie State and Tarleton on April 16-17. The regular season wraps up with a match at Northern Arizona on April 23.

The GCU men's and women's teams will travel to New Mexico State for the WAC Tournament from April 30 to May 2.
