GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Grand Canyon and junior Jennifer Lutz are both in second place after the first round of the Mesa State Maverick Invitational at Redlands Mesa Country Club Monday.
GCU shot a team total of 319, trailing Mesa State by eight strokes. The closest team to the Lopes, Regis, is 40 shots back.
Lutz (pictured) shot a 74 and is five shots behind Mesa State's Sade Peavler. GCU's Jacqueline Sneddon is fourth after a round of 77.
