Why did you choose GCU? My journey to choose GCU took a long time, but I eventually found it. It was truly God’s plan for me to end up here, and I am so happy I did. My brother and his wife both graduated from GCU, and really encouraged me to look into GCU, and as soon as I visited the campus I was hooked. Everyone at GCU is annoyingly nice, helpful, and values others/diversity. The culture at GCU is what really made me choose GCU.
When you are not cheering, where can you be found? If I am not cheering, I will most likely be getting coffee, studying, going to chapel/church groups, cooking/baking, hanging out with friends/family, or be doing something outdoors like hiking.
Who is the most influential person in your life? Besides Jesus, the most influential person in my life is my Grandpa Randy. He is the most spiritual, kind, calming person I know who truly puts the Lord first. He has always been there if I needed him, and plan on letting him walk me down the aisle eventually. I love him so much!
What is one piece of advice you would give someone who dreams of becoming a GCU Cheerleader? My biggest tip for future cheerleaders is to be yourself. As cliché as that sounds, it’s the truth. One of the biggest parts of this team is that, everyone on the team is unique and brings something to the team no matter what. Don’t try to be something/someone you’re not because then GCU will miss out on YOU, and what YOU have to offer.
Fun Fact: I can eat breakfast anytime, any day of the week!
Favorite Bible Verse or Quote: This was hard, but one of my favorites is, Romans 8:39 “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
