GCU second-year head coach
Brent Nicoson's team will compete in five tournaments throughout the fall slate, beginning with the Leadership and Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course on Sept. 15. The Lopes took second in last year's 16-team tournament in University Place, Washington.
Familiar tournaments are on the schedule in the Wollenberg Ram Classic in Colorado, Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Washington and Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawaii. The fall season ends with The Clash at Boulder Creek in Boulder City, Nevada, starting Oct. 27.
The spring sees the Lopes partake in six regular-season tournaments, featuring five in Arizona.
GCU heads south to Tucson for the Thunderbird Invitational and goes north to Sedona for the Red Rocks Invitational, which the Lopes won last season. The annual GCU Invitational will be held Feb. 24-25 at GCU Golf Course, with other stops across the Valley including a trip to the Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park for the Bell Bank Pay it Forward Invitational and the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Course in Maricopa for the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic.
GCU's lone spring trip is to Palm Desert, California, for the Long Beach State Invitational starting Feb. 14.
The Mountain West Championship will be held at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, on April 21-23.
