The Grand Canyon women's golf team will play its fourth tournament in a one-month span, aiming to make this week's tournament a fourth straight top-five finish. GCU partakes in the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence, Kansas, on Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,085-yard Lawrence Country Club, which is about 10 minutes northwest of host Kansas' campus.
The Lopes enter the event with a 31-8 record this seaosn, claiming three top-five finishes and a second-place showing at the Leadership and Golf Invitational on Sept. 17 in Washington. GCU is one of 12 teams competing in Lawrenece. Other teams in the field include Kent State, Missouri, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Eastern Michigan, Northern Colorado, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Delaware and Central Arkansas.

Anci Dy and
Alyzzah Vakasiuola, and sophomores
Brenna Preap and junior
Amelia Curtis. Rosholt looks to keep her top-15 streak alive after placing 12th or better in each of the three tournaments played this fall season. Dy is coming off a 7-under tournament in Colorado, where she tied for third and helped lead the Lopes to a fourth-place showing.
The first round begins Monday with a double-tee start at 6 a.m. (Phoenix time) and a second round following it immediately.
