Lopes finish seventh at HBU Husky Invite

The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished the HBU Husky Invitational in seventh place.
GCU was led by a pair of top-20 finishes, with Deanna Salvatori coming in 18th place with a 233 total, followed by Courtney Vogel with a 235 total in 20th place. Vogel had Tuesday's top GCU round with a 76.
Carolina Sandstrom finished in a tie for 29th place with a 241 total, while Kylie Fong finished with a 244 total in 35th place.
Also for the Lopes, Charatta Thongbai shot 247, Amy Ruelas 247, Leleaga Meredith 251 and Brittany Holen 255.
Sam Houston State won the event with a 892 total in the 13-team field.Â
GCU is back in action on April 6-7 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic held at Southern Dunes in Maricopa, Ariz.
