HOUSTON – The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving program is geared up to compete in the 2017 WAC Championships which are scheduled to begin Wednesday, Feb. 22 - Saturday, Feb. 25 in Houston, Texas.

Prelims will commence every morning at 9:30 a.m. MST with swimming and diving finals live streamed at 5 p.m. MST to close out each day of competition.

According to the Pre-Championship Coaches Poll, the women were selected as the second-place favorite with 39 points while the men come in at third with 26 points. The first place picks were last year's WAC Championship winners, Air Force (men) and Northern Arizona (women).

The Lopes are one of seven teams on the men's side and eight teams on the women's that are part of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
