Grand Canyon produced an impressive pair of performances  against UNLV Saturday, highlighted by elite finishes across swimming and diving events on both the men's and women's sides. The meet also featured multiple pool records set by Grand Canyon athletes and relay teams.
Sara Mose won the 50 freestyle in 22.90 and captured the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.59.
Paula Martinez Moreno earned first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:59.84.
Marta Guasp won the 200 backstroke in 1:59.23 and finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.44.
Taylor Stasny set a pool record while winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.94 and added a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.03.
Beth Young captured first place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.91.
Vivi Criscione recorded a second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:31.82.
Elisa Corradi finished second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:15.62 and placed second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:02.06.
Alex Volkov won the 100 backstroke in 46.74 and captured first place in the 100 butterfly with a pool-record time of 47.04.
Carter Dooling won the 100 breaststroke in 54.09 and claimed first place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:58.90, while also finishing second in the 200 individual medley in 1:52.35.
Mario Perez placed second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:47.15.
Guillermo Carrey finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.06 and placed second in the 100 freestyle in 45.07.
Jacob Pins recorded a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.00.
Omar Elsayed swept the men's diving events, winning the 1-meter competition with 380.93 points and capturing first place on the 3-meter board with a score of 427.05.
Luke Struiksma finished second in men's 1-meter diving with a total of 303.98 points.
Brooke Woeslaw won the women's 3-meter diving event with 248.48 points and placed second in the 1-meter competition with a score of 245.85.
Lucinda Harrison earned a second-place finish in women's 3-meter diving with a score of 193.95.
The women's 200 medley relay team of Luna Ayala, Young, Martinez, and Mose set a pool record while winning the event with a time of 1:40.62.
The men's 200 medley relay team of A. Volkov, Dooling, Â Perez, and Carrey set a pool record with a winning time of 1:26.54.
The men's 200 free relay team of  Perez, A. Volkov, Eli Cohen, and Carrey established a pool record with a first-place finish in 1:19.39.
In addition to being the last meet of the regular season, Saturday was the Lopes' day to honor its 17 seniors; Kirk Brotherton, Eli Cohen, Carter Dooling, Yigit Eksioglu, Tim Koza, Mohamed Mohamady, Mario Perez, Alex Volkov, Daniel Volkov, Grzegorz Wanat, Elisa Corradi, Marta Guasp, Krisalyn Henderson, Paula Martinez, Kailee Patters, Hailey Sears and Kourtney Smith.
The Lopes will next look towards the conference championship meets. The men's Big West Championships (Feb. 11–14) and the women's Mountain West Championships (Feb. 18–21) will both take place in Houston with multiple athletes having opportunities to clinch NCAA Championships times.Â
