Why did you choose GCU? I chose GCU because I wanted to go out of state for school and GCU was the most affordable. When I came on my discover trip I really enjoyed the community like atmosphere; everyone was so welcoming and happy. I knew GCU was a private Christian school and I wanted to challenge my faith and grow as much as possible and I saw GCU as a great opportunity for that.
When you are not cheering, where can you be found? You can find me exploring Arizona with my friends or playing basketball at the LPC.
Who is the most influential person in your life? The most influential person in my life is my Father. My dad has always taught me to work hard at everything I do and to be honest. My dad is a single parent of three with very little support and he always made sure that me and my siblings had what we needed to be successful. Watching my dad work so hard for me and my siblings made me appreciate everything I had and taught me to take nothing for granite. I know that if I strive to be like my father, I will be successful.
What is one piece of advice you would give someone who dreams of becoming a GCU Cheerleader? My one piece of advice to becoming a GCU Cheerleader is to be confident in the skills you have and be willing to learn and grow.
Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I have been to 7 Young Life camps.
Favorite Bible Verse or Quote: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
