GCU women's golf graduate student
Calynne Rosholt has qualified for the upcoming U.S. Women's Amateur Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the Southern Hills Country Club.
The tournament runs from August 5-11.
Rosholt, who recently transferred into GCU after three years at Arizona State, qualified with a single round score of 70 at the Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving, Texas. Rosholt tied for second with two other golfers as four total players moved on with automatic qualifications from the tournament by finishing in the top four.
Rosholt began with a bogey-birdie-bogey start but tallied four pars and two birdies over her final six holes on the front nine. After a birdie-bogey scorecard on holes 12 and 13, Rosholt entered the last hole needing to birdie to qualify. She did just that, birdying the par 5, 484-yard 18th hole to send her to Oklahoma.
