GCU to send elite group to compete with nation's best

The Grand Canyon track and field team is going to Texas to compete in the 96th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays from Thursday to Saturday in Austin, Texas.

The Lopes will travel an elite group to compete with the best collegiate track and field talent in the country.

The meet attracts many top programs and will provide an opportunity for the Lopes to show that they belong.

With an electric field scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, the Texas Relays will continue to show the highly competitive nature of collegiate track and field.

The Lopes are coming off impressive performances from Erin Brown, Israel Oloyede and Taryn Burkett, who were each chosen for this week's WAC weekly honors.
