The Grand Canyon track and field team is returning to New Mexico for a second straight weekend for the UNM Team Open on Friday and Saturday.
The Lopes lineup this weekend will include the similar lineup from last week with the addition of the throwers and some distance runners.
GCU is off to a strong indoor season with the men ranking second in the West Region for the first time in school history.

Nicole Prall took the WAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week honor after a conference-leading performance of 3.97 meters in the pole vault last week in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prall's mark ranks first in the WAC and ninth in the West Region.
Lopes sophomoreÂ
Germain Lemaitre is the WAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week after running the nation's sixth-fastest 800-meter time this season (1 minute, 49.15 seconds) to win Saturday win at the UNM MLK Invitational.

Brown. The team went 3:07.94 before altitude adjustment. This time ranks as the ninth best in the country and third in the region.
Neysia Howard had a strong overall day with her 200 WAC-leading time of 23.93. Howard also extended her WAC long jump (5.88 meters) mark and improved her time in the 60 by running it in 7.51 seconds.
