First decathlon and heptathlon of the season

The Grand Canyon track and field team will be competing in the Jim Click Multis at the University of Arizona this Thursday and Friday.

The Lopes will be taking Camdyn Bruner, Summer Grubbs, Aidan Diggs, Ellis Nei, and Patrick Nelson.

This event is a multi-day decathlon and heptathlon. This is the first time the Lopes have participated in this competition since 2019.

Coming off of the Texas Relays the majority of the team will take the week to prepare for another big weekend at Mt. SAC.

The decathlon includes the following events...
100 meter dash
long jump
shot puut
high jump
400 meter dash
110 meter hurdles
discus throw
pole vault
javelin throw
1500 meter

The heptathlon includes the following events...
100 meter hurdles
high jump
shot put
200 meter dash
long jump
javelin throw
