The Grand Canyon track and field team is going to Tucson to compete in the final regular-season meet of the season on Saturday.
After Twhen many members of the team graduated Thursday and Friday, the Lopes look to continue the season's momentum in a competition that will have some of the fastest athletes in the country at the Desert Heat Classic.
Oregon, Texas A&M, Arizona State, Northern Arizona and Iowa make up just a few of the teams that will be competing. The meet will also include alumni as well as international runners. Meanwhile, they will also be recognizing graduating seniors.
The Lopes head into the meet after breaking three school records and a freshman mark in last weekend's home meet. Meanwhile, GCU's
Erin Brown was the WAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
The events will start at noon on Saturday, with the women's hammer throw being the first event of the day. The running events will begin at 5 p.m. with the men's 110-meter hurdles. Live results for all the events can be found

The Lopes will utilize this meet as one final walk-through before looking to win another conference championship in less than two weeks.
