Final home meet for Lopes seniors

Postseason less than one month away
The Grand Canyon track and field team will be hosting the final home meet of the season Friday and Saturday.
The Lopes will look to continue to prepare for the postseason as it is less than a month away.
The Canyon Invitational will also serve as a senior day for the student athletes who will be competing at GCU for the final time.
The Lopes are coming off a high-level meet at Mt. SAC Relays where despite unfavorable conditions, three school records were broken as well as two freshman outdoor records.
The hammer throw events will take place Friday with the women beginning at 2 p.m. and the men starting around 4 p.m. at Glendale Community College.Â
Saturday's events will start with javelin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by the remaining field events all at the GCU Track and Field. The track events will begin at 5 p.m. with the senior and graduate recognition taking place at 4:35.
