The Grand Canyon women's golf team has started off strong this spring season and looks to keep the momentum rolling as it competes in the two-day Spring Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nev., beginning Monday morning.
The Lopes recently placed third out of 17 schools in the GCU Invitational Feb. 28 with junior
Lani Luafalealo winning the individual title after a three-player playoff hole. Prior to that, GCU earned third out of 13 schools at the Valley Invitational in Bakersfield, Calif., Feb. 7.
The Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State, begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. PT with round two beginning after round one is completed Monday. The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. PT.
GCU is one of 14 teams competing in Boulder City and ranks third best among the field at No. 112, trailing only No. 93 Lipscomb and No. 99 Western Carolina.

Carly Strole and
Becca Tschetter and freshman
Ryan Flynn. Sophomore
Kailey Bass will also compete as an individual.
