Grand Canyon men's and women's divers are competing at the Lumberjack Diving Invite this weekend in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Lopes look to perform well in a Friday-Sunday event in which all three diving competitions will take place.
On the women's side, GCU will be represented by juniorÂ
Shiori Bak and freshman
Lucinda Harrison. The Australians will look to set the standards high in their first competition of the season.
GCU men's diving will have four Lopes in attendance. Led by seniors
Reece Robles and
Isaac Poole, the squad will also include freshman
Bryce Porter and
Luke Struiksma. Struiksma is from Lakewood, California, and Porter is a Valley product, coming from Mesa, Arizona.
Â
The Lopes are looking to prepare for the Miami (Ohio) Midseason Invitational, where they will compete against six other programs to see where they stand before the home stretch of the season heading into conference competition.
This weekend's meet at Northern Arizona begins Friday at the NAU Wall Aquatic Center. The Lopes will face off against UC Davis, Fresno State, New Mexico State, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Cal Poly and Idaho.Â
