LOS ANGELES - The Grand Canyon men's and women's diving team completed the UCLA Invitational with impressive showings over the weekend.
Both of the Lopes teams competed in 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events.

Daniel Fecteau said. "We continue to progress as the championship season is approaching quickly."
The invitational included the likes of USC, Utah, Hawaii, San Diego State, TCU and other programs.
"Competing against some of the top divers in the nation helps prepare us for what's ahead," Fectau said. "We train diligently and have our minds right to continue to learn and practice on cleaning our dives up while building consistency."
On the women's side,
Abigail Erickson and
Shiori Bak competed in the platform finals at a very high level. Erickson took sixth place with a score of 446.95. Bok, the sophomore from Australia, finished the platform competition with a score of 437.40 points for 10th place.Â
The men also had great performances over the weekend.
Reece Robles finished the platform finals with a score of 544.25.
Isaac Poole had impressive scores in the 1- and 3-meter event finals. Poole scored 565.35 in the 1-meter final and 572.60 in the 3-meter finals.
"We had five performances in the finals," Facteau said. "All five divers persevered through the pouring rain on Saturday, I'm so proud of them."
The Lopes diving squads will face California Baptist , along with the swim teams, in a WAC dual meet on Saturday.Â
