GCU sends 17 to CSCAA finals on Day 1

Lopes advance from preliminaries in 6 events

The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming teams finished Day 1 preliminaries at the CSCAA National Invitational in Elkhart, Indiana, on Thursday morning with 17 Lopes advancing to the finals. The top 20 of each event qualify for the finals, with the first 10 in the "A" finals and the next 10 in the "B" finals.

FINALISTS:
Men

Jack Armstrong: 50-yard butterfly (21.56) – 4^th, 50 freestyle (20.01) – 5^th
Adrian Curbelo Tejera: 50 butterfly (21.83) – 7^th
Amir Haviv: 50 breaststroke (25.26) – 14^th
