HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Grand Canyon women's golf team concluded the three-day Ron Moore Intercollegiate tournament at the Denver Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Lopes placed 14th among 16 tournament teams with a score of 29 over par for the tournament, which was hosted by Denver. GCU carded its best round Sunday, shooting 2 over with three players tallying even-par scorecards.
Vanderbilt won the tournament at 25 under par. Xavier earned second at 5 under while Tulane and New Mexico tied for third at 2 under.
Junior
Constanza Guerrero finished best for the Lopes as she tied for 32nd at 4 over. She finished strong after a 3-over Friday, shooting 1 over on Saturday and even par on Sunday. Freshman
Ryan Flynn and junior
Lani Luafalealo tied for 48th at 7 over, as Flynn went even par and Luafalealo shot 2 over in the final round.

Becca Tschetter and senior
Carmen Belmonte finished at 14 over for the tournament and tied for 69th.
The Lopes take two weeks off before heading west to compete in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Manoa, O'ahu, Hawaii, on Oct. 24-26.
Day 2 recap
GCU climbed one spot in the tournament standings Saturday with a two-day score of 27 over that is tied for 14th place.
Guerrero shot a 1-over second round and sits in a tie for 37th place at 4 over for the tournament, while Luafalealo finished the day at 2 over and is tied for 44th at 5 over going into Sunday's final round.
Flynn is 7 over and tied for 53rd, while Belmonte is tied for 75th at 12 over with Tschetter tied for 81st at 13 over.
The tournament concludes Sunday with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m. (Phoenix time).

GCU will enter the weekend in 15th place among 16 entrants with a team score of 15 over par.
Flynn leads the way for the Lopes at 2 over par after she carded a round of 74. Flynn sank 16 pars, which tied for the first round's highest total with Denver's Erika Daniellsson.
Luafalealo and Guerrero are each tied for 43rd at 3 over. Tschetter, is tied for 75th at 7 over while Belmonte is tied for 80th at 8 over.
Round 2 begins Saturday morning with the third and final round concluding Sunday afternoon.
