The Grand Canyon men's tennis team lost 4-0 to Arizona State in Tempe.
The Lopes (0-3) saw strong play from the top doubles position and by
Julian Mueller in singles but were unable to grab wins.
In doubles the Sun Devils (1-0) took the point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3. Senior
Valentin Lang made his return to the lineup with freshman

Can Franke pushed ASU's top pair Andre Bolla and Tim Ruehl to 5-4 before their match was abandoned.
In singles Arizona State came out strong winning five of the six opening sets with Mueller prevailing at No. 4 winning 6-2. The freshman from Germany would have his match abandoned while fellow freshman
Laurent Magne finished his singles match tied 5-5 in the second set.
ASU would win the final three points at the top three positions. Fucile was up early at No. 1 in the first set but lost 6-3, 6-0 while
Freddie Grant in his first singles match of the season lost in straight sets.
The Lopes will return to the GCU Tennis Facility to kick off the 2020 home schedule with UC Riverside on Saturday at 3 p.m.
