Lopes start 2018 with home meet after long break

PHOENIX--The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving team will open up their 2018 campaign on Jan. 6Â at 1:00 p.m MT with a home meet at the Fr Edward J. Reese Aquatic Center at Brophy Catholic College Preparatory.
The men's team will face off against California Baptist University, while the women play host to California Baptist University, Rice University and fellow Western Athletic Conference foe New Mexico State University.Â
The last time the men's and women's team defeated Cal Baptist was in January 2017, with the men defeating the Lancers 186-109 and the women winning 189-110. Â
The women's team also defeated New Mexico State back in October 2016, defeating the Aggies by a score of 185-115. Â
The address for Brophy Catholic College Preparatory is 4800 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85012.Â
Easiest parking and access to the pool will be on the south side of campus, by the Piper Math & Science building. Take the walk way next to the baseball field at the end of the south parking lot.
