Deanna Salvatori who finished runner-up, posting sub-70 scores in every round.
"I'm extremely proud of Deanna and how she handled herself throughout the entire tournament," said head coach
Lauren Giesecke. "This is her lowest tournament total ever and it's just a preview of where she and her game can go. Deanna has shown great leadership and pose throughout our last two weeks of practice and she proved herself this week. This should be a great confidence booster for our next event back in her home state."
As a team, GCU finished tied for fourth. NM State won with a +14 total, followed by Oral Roberts (+17), Utah Valley (+28), GCU (+39) and Sam Houston State (+39). Other competing WAC schools included UTRGV (+70) and CSUB (+81).
In addition to Salvatori's three straight 69's,
Courtney Vogel also played well for the Lopes finishing in 12
th place with rounds of 70-74-78.

th place finish, including her best round of the tournament during the last round with a solid 76.

"I'm proud of the team this week," said Giesecke. "It's been our lowest team total and its' been a great learning experience. The positive thing about this tourney is that we know we left quite a few strokes out on the course so we will get back to work this week in preparation for our next event. Overall, a great team effort and proud of all the hard work they have put in so far. I'm excited for great things to come very soon from this group."
