Lopes finish up at Cowgirl Classic

The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in 18th place on Friday afternoon at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa.
GCU was led on the final day by Deanna Salvatori, Courtney Vogel and Carolina Sandstrom, each finishing with rounds of 76.Â
Also for the Lopes, Kylie Fong finished with a 77 while Amy Ruelas came in with an 82.Â
The tournament was won by UC Irvine with a +8 total, as Sacramento State finished runner-up. Nevada, UC Riverside and Santa Clara rounded out the top five.
The Lopes now prepare for the Western Athletic Conference Championships held on April 19-21 in Mission Hills, Kansas.
