WAHIAWA, Hawaii – The Grand Canyon women's golf team begins the Rainbow Wahine Invitational this week at Leilehua Golf Course in Wahiawa, Hawaii on Oct. 31 – Nov. 1.
Joining GCU in the 12-team field is Boise State, Eastern Washington, Hawaii, Hawaii-Hilo, Hawaii Pacific, Memphis, Mississippi, Nevada, Princeton, Sacramento State and Toledo. Mississippi is ranked 48
th in the golfstat rankings, followed by top-100 teams in Memphis (49), Toledo (67) and Sac State (70).
Teams will play 36 holes on Tuesday and a final round 18 holes on Wednesday. The defending champion is Sac State. Teams will tee off in a shotgun start at 11:00 AM MST.
The Lopes are playing in their final fall tournament of the year. GCU has three fourth-place finishes in its four fall tournaments. The Lopes were last in action at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational. GCU finished fourth as a team, with
Deanna Salvatori notching a fifth-place individual finish.
