Grand Canyon, ranked No. 6 in the Division II Basford Poll and No. 12 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association rankings, improved to 10-4 in dual meets with an impressive 33-7 victory over NAIA No. 16 Menlo College at Atherton, Calif., Friday.
“I’m really proud of all our guys and to get bonus points (in five wins), was good to see,” said GCU coach R.C. LaHaye. “We had good effort overall and look forward to (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) action Sunday.”
GCU won eight of 10 matches, getting bonus points in five of the eight wins.
