The Grand Canyon University women’s golf team is set to host their annual spring golf invitational this Monday and Tuesday at the Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield, Ariz. The invitational will be played on the Par-71 Patriot Blue Course at the Wigwam and consist of a 36-hole total.
The invitational will represent a who’s who among collegiate golfing’s best. Five of the 18 teams enter the weekend in the top-10 of the Golfstat NCAA Division II Head-to-Head rankings. 10 teams are ranked in the top-25 of the Golfworld/National Golf Coaches Association Top-25 Coaches Poll released March 14.
St. Edward’s University headlines the field, ranked third in both polls.
GCU, ranked No. 8 in the Golfstat NCAA Division II Head-to-Head rankings and No. 11 in the Golfworld/National Golf Coaches Association Top-25 Coaches Poll, will look to improve upon their second-place showing last year.
Canyon will feature two teams this week at the Wigwam.

Eryn Olson will represent the “A” squad.

Emily Kaye,
Kelcey Tate,
Cassidy Sanchez and
Dachelle Frey will represent the ‘Lopes “B” entry.
Phoeba Cipa will play in the tournament and entered in the individual competition.
