No. 2 Seed GCU Heads to Regional Tournament

The Grand Canyon University women’s golf team is the No. 2 seed for the NCAA Super Regional Championship Tournament, May 1-3, at the Tascosa Golf Club in Canyon, Texas.
GCU will enter the regional tournament with the highest ranking in program history, second in the west region and fifth in the nation. They are ranked behind No. 1 seed Tarleton State University who currently stands third in Division II.
The 54-hole tournament will begin Sunday, May 1 with tee times starting at 10:00 a.m. CDT.
The ‘Lopes have slated four tournament wins and nine top-three finishes this season, the most tournament team wins in a single season in program history. Finishing in the top-three this week will earn them a trip to the national tournament.
The top three teams and the top three individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship May 11-14 at The Meadows in Allendale, Michigan.
