The Grand Canyon University men’s and women’s swimming teams defeated California Baptist in a pair of dual meets today at the Brophy Sports Complex in Phoenix.
“It was an excellent showing by our kids,” said head coach Steve Schaffer. “It is tough to step up after a meet like
Husky, and then having to deal with finals as well, but everyone really gave a great effort.”

Eetu Karvonen. Karvonen, the top scorer in the men’s event with 29.75 points, was the winner in the 100 breast (55.18), 200 breast (2:03.39) and 400 IM (4:03.95). All of his times were NCAA B cut standards.
