GCU begins quest for NCAAs Sunday

Grand Canyon's women's golf team begins its quest for the NCAA Championships Sunday.
For the first time in school history the entire team qualified for the Super Regional at Tascosa Country Club in Amarillo, Texas.
The tournament begins at 6:30 a.m. PDT. GCU junior Jacqueline Sneddon (Meigle, Scotland, Madras College) is the first of five Antelopes to the tee at 7:20 a.m. The final GCU player to begin play is senior Jennifer Lutz (Mesa, Ariz., Mesa) at 8 a.m.
The tournament continues through Wednesday and the top three teams and top three individuals not on the top three teams advance to the NCAA Championships at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. May 12-15.
Grand Canyon is ranked No. 3 in the region and No. 12 in the nation.
Joining Sneddon and Lutz, a region qualifier last year, for the three-day tournament are juniors Georgina Dunn (Peterborough, England , King's School) and Brittany Anderson (Goodyear, Ariz., Estrella Foothills) and freshman Alexandra Malmsjo (Stockholm, Sweden, Saltsjobaden).
Lutz comes into the tournament ranked No. 7 individually in the region. Dunn is No. 11.
