GCU senior Jennifer Lutz shot a 2-over-par 148 (75-73) to win The Cactus Thaw! Sunday at Silver City (N.M.) Golf Course.

Shoots 2-over-par for 36 holes

SILVER CITY, N,M. -- Jennifer Lutz (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa/Mesa CC) shot an event record-low 36-hole round of 148 to win The Cactus Thaw! at Silver City Golf Course Sunday.
Lutz shot a 2-over-par 75 Saturday and even par 73 Sunday to win the event and lead GCU to a victory.
The 'Lopes had a two-round total of 630 (321-309), six shots better than host Western New Mexico (318-318 --- 636). Mesa Community College shot 678.
Lutz finished six shots ahead of Georgina Dunn (Peterborough, England/King's School/New Mexico State), who shot a 154 (79-75). Alexandra Malmsjo (Stockholm, Sweden/Saltsjobaden) finished seventh wtih a 15-over par 161 (82-79).
Brittany Anderson (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) and Jacqueline Sneddon (Meigle, Scotland/Madras College/Elmwood College) each shot 22-over-par and tied for 11th.
Playing as an individual, junior Amy Cowan (Davis, Calif./Davis/Sierra CC) shot 21-over-par and placed 10th.
