SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Grand Canyon University women's golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the Sonoma State Women's SneddonInvitational Monday.
Grand Canyon shot 328 on the par 73, 5,816-yard Santa Rosa Country Club course, and is 18 strokes behind leader Sonoma State. Cal State Monterey Bay is second at 322.
GCU's Jacqueline Sneddon (pictured) is tied for fifth after posting a first round 78. Antelope teammates Jennifer Lutz and Brittany Anderson each shot 82, and are tied for 14th.
