At GCU Chayse Jackson wrestled at 157 pounds in 2014-15 and earned runner-up finish at the Doubletree Open. A year earlier, he finished 16-10 and had three wins by fall and three major decisions. Jackson placed third at Colorado Mesa Open and Embry-Riddle Open.As a sophomore, he was named second-team all-academic by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and went 5-8 with a three-match win streak. He won once by fall and once by major decision.During his first season with the Lopes, he wrestled unattached during a redshirt season and finished with a 3-6 record, including one victory by major decision.
In the Classroom Jackson is working toward a bachelor's degree in biology (emphasis in pre-medicine) at Grand Canyon.
Roseburg HS Jackson was an Oregon state champion for Roseburg High School and a Junior Greco-Roman state champion. Overall, he reached No. 2 in the all-state rankings and was named an honorable-mention Top Senior at 140 pounds in 2010-11. He added his first Junior Greco-Roman state championship in 2009-10.
