Maria Harutjunjan was promoted to Technical Specialist for the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams in the 2021-22 season. She served as a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s team during the 2020-21 season.
Harutjunjan is a graduate of the University of Wyoming where she was a member of the Cowgirl’s Division I women’s swimming team from 2014-2017. She is a five-time Mountain West Conference Champion and a two-time NCAA Swimming & Diving National Championship qualifier (2016, 2017). She became just the fifth Cowgirl to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships in back-to-back seasons.
A native of Maardu, Estonia, Harutjunjan served as a representative of Estonia’s National Swimming Team. She also participated in Summer Universiade in 2015, Gwangju, and South Korea. In addition, she competed at the European long and short course championships.
