Loic Joseph comes to GCU after directing the Aquastorm Swim Team in Bismarck, N.D. After taking the helm in 2009, he led the Aquastorm to four consecutive age group short course championships. Joseph has been coaching in the United States since 2000, working with the YMCA Seals and Bismarck and Century High Schools. He has earned numerous swimming awards, including being named the age group coach of the year on eight occasions and was voted the state high school swimming coach of the year and WDA Coach of the Year, twice.
Loic has coached one YMCA All-American, one national qualifier, four junior national qualifiers, 23 sectional qualifiers, over 30 zones qualifiers, seven high school individual state champions and six high school relay state champions.
Born and raised in Chartres, France, Joseph swam competitively for six years there and qualified for the French swimming nationals in the butterfly and freestyle events.
