Why did you choose GCU? I chose to come to GCU because of the positive atmosphere. I love how Christ is a part of our everyday lives here at GCU. The university offers amazing educational programs and provides an astounding amount of resources for the student to make college a successful experience. The students on campus are so genuine and overall just a great environment to be in.
Favorite part of being a Lope? My favorite part of being a lope is that I get to represent this incredible university and continue to promote school spirit.
What are you looking forward to the most being a GCU Cheerleader? I look forward to developing lifelong friendships. The amount of support and care we have for one another makes this program feel like my second family.
One word to describe you:
On the mat – Encouraging
Off the mat – Apprehensive
Who is the most influential person in your life? My parents are the most influential people in my life. They have been my strongest supporters, my teachers, and my therapists. I am able to go to them with anything I need. With their hard work and dedication, they have shown me anything is possible.
Favorite Bible Verse or Quote: Matthew 6:27 “And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
What advice would you give to someone who dreams of becoming a GCU Cheerleader? Focus more on your character than your skill. We represent this amazing university and take pride in the upbringing of our school. We have a strong faith and family mindset. Be comfortable with going out of your comfort zone and taking on new challenges. There are many lifelong rewards and experiences to remember that come out of being a part of this program not just trophy.
