Medley is working toward a bachelor's degree in secondary education (emphasis in physical education) at Grand Canyon.
High School
Medley was selected as the Bakersfield Californian Wrestler of the Year as a senior. He earned state runner-up placing in his final season competing for Wasco High School and also has a fourth-place state finish earlier in his career. He was a two-time All-American, three-time CIF Champion and was the Master's sectional champion as a senior. He went 46-2 during his senior year while compiling four league championships and state qualifications.
