LIHUE, Hawaii – Grand Canyon men's golf completed Day 2 of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Friday, carding a 6-over scorecard to move to 17 over for the tournament and 14th place among 19 teams.

Loyola Marymount, which led the field after the first 18 holes, is joined by No. 32 Texas A&M at the top with an 8-under score. No. 38 UNLV is third at 5 under par.

Nixon Lauritzen climbed 13 spots to a tie for 45th at 4 over par, both carding 1-over second rounds. The duo each had three birdies on the day.

Daniel Nilsson moved up 10 spots with a 1-over second day, moving his total score to 6 over. Nilsson began Friday with a birdie on the par-4 seventh hole, and finished 1 under over his final 10 holes.
Lopes sophomore Måns Boje shot 3 over and is 9 over for the tourney, while sophomore teammate
Matthew Diehl shot 6 over after an even-par first round.
Playing as an individual entry, GCU sophomore
Trey Moore had the biggest jump up the standings, shooting even par to move up 21 places. Moore had a team-best four birdies Friday and is 9 over.
GCU's 119 pars are second most among the 19 teams, and the Lopes are also tied for eighth with a 4.7 par-five scoring average.
Third- and final-round action begins Saturday at Ocean Course Hokuala on the island of Kaua'i.
