A pair of Lopes competed as individual entries in the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club Feb. 15-17 and produced strong showings in GCU's third tournament of the spring season.
Sophomore
Campbell Kerr produced a top 10 showing, notching a 10 under card to tie for sixth out of 119 golfers. Kerr was the clubhouse leader after two rounds, going 6 under and 5 under respectively in his first and second rounds before closing the tournament with a 1 over final round.
The Aussie had 15 birdies in total, including 11 through his first two rounds. He also added two eagles, with his highlighted round being a 66 in round one that saw him record just one bogey. His 3.83 scoring average on par 4's tied for sixth best among the field, while his 4.17 par 5 scoring average tied for fourth best.
Erik Rengardt finished 1 under overall, shooting 72/71/72. Competing in his first tournament of the spring campaign, Rengardt had nine birdies in total including four in his second round.
The Swede tied for 38th and tied for 11th in total pars recorded (37).
