FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Grand Canyon wrapped up their second trip to Flagstaff by sending a small squad to the NAU Lumberjack Team Challenge.
Although sending a small squad, there were still standouts from the Lopes squad.
Junior Weston Mean's finished at the top of the high jump with a score of 2.09m. This was also Mean's personal best and sits at 36
th in Division 1.
The rest of the men's squad swept the podium with
Blake Heller and Elliott George securing 2
nd and 3
rd
The meet was also successful for GCU's pole vaulters as they had the top three finishes.
Junior
Gavin Dimick finished first in pole vault with a score of 4.85m white senior
Misael Colon (4.85m) and junior
Quintin Dukes (4.70m) brought in second and third place for the Lopes.

Chloe Metz won the women's pole vault as the only competitor scoring a 3.55m.
To wrap up the meet the women's distance runners broke multiple personal records. Freshman Lauren Pahl finished the mile run in 5:19.91 finishing first in her heat.

Eva Johnson also scored personal bests in the mile.
In the women's 800m senior Morgan Lamberson finished second finishing in 2:14.33 breaking her personal record. Sophomore Grace Scott finished first in her heat handily while breaking her personal record finishing in 2:21.91.
Looking ahead the Lopes will head to Albuquerque next week for the UNM MLK Jr. Invitational where they will send their full squad.
