With a first-place finish and two top-10 outings, Grand Canyon freshman
Matthew Diehl was named WAC Men's Golfer of the Week.

Diehl shared the award with Utah Valley sophomore Dane Huddleston.
Diehl finished in the top 10 twice in five days for the Lopes, winning the individual medal at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale and tying for sixth at the GCU Invitational. Diehl had one of the best three-day finishes in GCU history, carding a 14-under score with a 68/65/69 scoreline and leading GCU to a third-place finish.
Diehl defeated eight players ranked in the Clippd Scoreboard top 120, including three in the top 40 as he notched a field-best 18 birdies. His 3.73 average on par-4 holes was best among all players, where his 2.92 average on par 3s was tied for second best.
He helped guide the Lopes to the GCU Invitational title, carding a 2-under, 68/72/71 tournament. He had 14 birdies, tied for fourth most among 99 golfers.
