The Grand Canyon women's golf team has finished in the top three seven times and captured four team titles this season With one tournament left to play before the WAC Championship on April 19-21, the Lopes head west to Goodyear, Arizona, to partake in the three-day Bobcat Desert Classic.

GCU's familiarity with the course goes back to last season, when they took the team title over 11 teams. The Lopes have won the event twice since the 2017-18 season. The Lopes have won a Division I-era program record four team titles this season and have finished in the top three in seven tournaments.

GCU enters the tournament at No. 82 in the Scoreboard Clipped rankings for the 17-team field's best ranking. The tournament includes six WAC teams, including GCU, Seattle U, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, UT Rio Grande Valley and California Baptist.

The Lopes will field the same starting five in seniors
Constanza Guerrero,
Carly Strole,
Becca Tschetter, junior
Leighton Shosted and sophomore
Ryan Flynn. Freshman
Lena Tremouille will also compete as an individual.

The field also includes host Montana State, Weber State, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, Portland State, Washington State, Montana, Boise State, Idaho, Wyoming and Idaho State.

Play will begin Monday at 7:30 a.m., with GCU among the first pairings to tee off on the No. 1 hole. The three-day tournament consists of one round daily on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with each team beginning on hole No. 1.
