Strombacha, Puehse sweep WAC weekly honors

Strombacha named singles player of week for 1st time this season
Grand Canyon senior Santa Strombacha was named the WAC Singles Player of the Week and her doubles partner, graduate Natasha Puehse, joined her as the WAC Doubles Players of the Week.
On the No. 2 singles court, Strombacha did not drop a set in a home match against UT Rio Grande Valley. She won by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
Strombacha took her winning ways to Nacogdoches, Texas, for a 6-0, 6-2 win at Stephen F. Austin.
Strombacha won WAC Singles Player of the Week for the first time this season.
As the top doubles team, Strombacha and Puehse also went undefeated to earn the conference's doubles honor. They won 6-2 at home against UTRGV and 6-4 at Stephen F. Austin.
The duo won their second WAC Doubles of the Week honor of the season.
The Lopes host a big week of two home matches against Abilene Christian on Thursday and Tarleton State on Sunday.
