GCU wins WAC doubles honor for 3rd straight week

Puehse, Strombacha finish WAC regular season with 3-set win against UT Arlington
The Grand Canyon top doubles team of graduate Natasha Puehse and senior Santa Strombacha won WAC Doubles Players of the Week for the third straight week.
Both being honored for Senior Day, Puehse and Strombacha won 6-4 on the top court to help GCU sweep doubles and go ahead 1-0 in the regular season finale against UT Arlington. The Lopes went on to win the match 6-1.
Puehse and Strombacha finished the regular season with a 17-3 mark on the top court and 6-1 in WAC play.
The duo began the 2023-24 season by winning WAC Doubles Players of the week and bookended the regular season by winning the award three times consecutively.
GCU enters the WAC Tournament in Harlingen, Texas, as the No. 1 seed and will play No. 8 Utah Tech in a quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at 10 a.m. (Phoenix time).
