Entering the spring season with six regular season tournaments before the WAC Championship April 19-21, Grand Canyon has tallied four top-3 finishes this spring with two team victories to its name. With two spring tournaments left before the conference showdown in Payson, Arizona, the Lopes head to Fresno, California, for the two-day Fresno State Classic.

The tournament will be held at the Copper River Country Club. The course is a par-72 with yardage at 6,276 yards. The field consists of 22 teams, tied for most this season for any tournament GCU has participated in. The Lopes rank No. 79 in the nation, third best among the field, trailing only No. 51 Colorado State and No. 12 Pepperdine. GCU is one of three WAC schools competing, joining California Baptist and Utah Valley.

Becca Tschetter along with junior
Leighton Shosted and sophomore
Ryan Flynn. GCU is coming off a first place showing at the Women's Jackrabbit Invitational March 12 in Boulder City, Nevada, followed by a third-place outing at the Red Rocks Invitational March 17 in Sedona.

Participants in the Fresno State Classic include host school Fresno State, Arkansas State, Pepperdine, BYU, Rutgers, Northern Arizona, UC Davis, Washington State, California Baptist, Colorado State, Utah Valley, Nevada, Sacramento State, Hawaii, Santa Clara, UC Riverside, UAB, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly and Gonzaga.

Monday's play begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., with the second round following the conclusion of the first. The third and final round also begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
