Natasha Puehse earned her third WAC Singles Player of the Week honor with another unbeaten week, this time on the road.
Â
Puehse picked up pair of straight-set singles wins at the No. 1 position to improve to 10-0 this season. This is the Scottsdale native's second WAC weekly honor in three weeks. She has won three of the conference's seven weekly awards this season.
Â
Against North Texas, Puehse picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win and finished the weekend road trip with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Baylor's Miska Kadleckova.
Â
Earlier in February, Puehse picked up her 55th career win to set a new GCU Division I-era record. She has not lost a set in singles since the Jan. 9 season opener, when she won in a three-set match against Missouri.
Â
The Lopes will be back in action this weekend with matches at Air Force and Colorado State on Friday and Saturday.
