For the second time this season, Grand Canyon graduate
Natasha Puehse was named the WAC Singles Player of the Week.

Puehse was undefeated the No. 1 singles court while the Lopes finished 3-0 at home with shutout wins against Arkansas, Idaho and UC Riverside. The Scottsdale, Arizona, native is 7-0 this season with six matches ending in straight sets.

Against Arkansas, Puehse picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 79 Caroli Gomez Alonso for her first win against a ranked opponent in her career. On Sunday, Puehse had a pair of straight-set wins against Idaho and UC Riverside in a GCU doubleheader victory.

With her 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1 wins against the Vandals and Highlanders, Puehse reached 55 career singles wins, the most in the GCU Division I era. Puehse passed Emila Occhipinti, who set the record in 2021.

Puehse and the Lopes will be back in action at GCU Tennis Facility on Saturday against Cal Poly at 2 p.m.
