Grand Canyon unveiled its 2025 indoor track and field schedule, featuring nine regular-season meets and the program's final run at the WAC Indoor Championships.
Under 15th-year head coach Tom Flood, GCU is defending a women's conference championship and looking to reclaim the men's conference title.
"This schedule and competition should have us prepared to defend our WAC indoor title on the women's side and regain the men's title and also send a lot of athletes to the NCAA indoor championships," Flood said.
The Lopes will be taking their final run at WAC indoor titles. In GCU's 11 years of opportunities to claim WAC Indoor Championships, the men's team has won seven and the women's team has won six. The Lopes have won 13 of the 22 indoor championships since joining the conference.
GCU's 2025 schedule features trips exclusively to three familiar destinations: Spokane, Washington; Flagstaff, Arizona; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
"Again we are really excited about our indoor schedule," Flood said. "We will be competing at some of the finest indoor facilities in the country against some of the best track and field programs in the country."
The 2025 season will begin in the final month of 2024Â at The Podium in Spokane, Washington, and lead up to the WAC Indoor Championships at the same venue beginning in late February.
The Lopes will be in Flagstaff four times, Albuquerque three times and Spokane three times.
GCU is aiming to send representation to the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in mid-March.
